Evans Awarded Prime Position on MDA SHIELD $151B Defense IDIQ Contract

10-year vehicle expands Evans’ defense implementation capacity across DoD for critical missile defense work

Evans has been awarded a Prime contractor position on the Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD (Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense) Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (MA-IDIQ) contract. The 10-year contract vehicle carries a $151 billion ceiling and supports mission-critical defense work across the Department of Defense.

SHIELD positions Evans to compete for task orders supporting advanced defense systems capable of detecting, tracking, intercepting, and neutralizing threats across all phases of flight. Work areas align directly with Evans’ technical implementation capabilities: systems engineering and modernization, research and development that becomes operational capability, prototyping and test and evaluation, modeling and simulation for decision support, and operational sustainment that keeps critical systems running.

“This award expands our access to the technical defense work Evans does best,” said Ashley Tolub, Vice President of Growth at Evans. “We’re talking systems integration that deploys, R&D and experimentation that moves from lab to field, and sustainment work that ensures defense capabilities remain operational. SHIELD gives us the contract vehicle to compete for this implementation work at scale across DoD.”

With 1,014 Prime awardees thus far, competition for task orders will be significant. Evans will focus SHIELD pursuit efforts on opportunities requiring proven implementation expertise — deploying working systems while building capable teams that can operate and maintain them independently. The contract supports both classified and unclassified programs across multiple security domains, with emphasis on rapid capability delivery using artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital engineering, and open systems architectures.

SHIELD complements Evans’ existing Prime contract vehicles including OASIS+ Unrestricted (Technical & Engineering), and Small Business (Technical & Engineering), Seaport NxG, and FAA vehicles eFAST and ATEPS II. The expanded contract access supports Evans’ strategic growth across defense agencies while maintaining focus on what the company does best: federal technology implementation that builds lasting capability.

Evans currently supports defense, civilian, and intelligence agencies including the Department of Navy, the Federal Aviation Administration, and other federal clients. The company’s BUILD/DEPLOY/EXECUTE/ADVANCE framework ensures every engagement delivers working technology and capable teams that can sustain the mission.
